Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Flight Request
The operation of small unmanned aircraft systems (“UAS”), including drones and model aircraft, on University property and in University airspace (collectively, “University Property”) is regulated by the Federal Aviation Administration (“FAA”) pursuant to 14 C.F.R. Part 107 (“Part 107”) and 14 C.F.R. Part 101 (“Part 101”). The University has developed a policy that seeks to ensure compliance with those legal obligations, to protect privacy, and to reduce risks to safety and security.
Prior to completing this request to fly UAS on University Property, the applicant(s) and all potential UAS operators must review and agree to the terms of the policy. (note: When this goes live, there will be a hyperlink to the policy)
